Integration Module for Wired Devices

SAFE IO Multi Transmitter

With 20 wired zones, the IO Multi Transmitter makes it possible to upgrade existing installations of third-party intruder alarm systems without having to replace functional equipment, while at the same time opening up the option to expand the SAFE system with almost any security device outside the SAFE portfolio. In both cases the device helps build a complete security solution tailored to projects of any complexity. Connect existing security peripherals to the SAFE platform and thus integrate the devices into a modern platform through which you gain all the benefits of the ecosystem, including management via the free ProSAFE app, automation scenarios and detailed notifications directly on your smartphone – all without complications or complex programming.
Description of the Device
Two communication channels
SAFE IO Multi Transmitter is a hybrid expansion module communicating with the central unit via 2 channels using a wireless RF communicator and via Ethernet network communication. Since the device is equipped with an RJ-45 port (supporting 10/100 Mbps), it can be connected to the control panel or the wider system directly via an IP network. This wired connection ensures instant data transmission and is particularly suitable for installations where maximum throughput is required or where wireless signal propagation alone cannot be relied upon.

Alarm Inputs
The module's 16 alarm inputs provide sixteen fully programmable wired inputs, which allows easy integration of any wired security or automation devices — from PIR motion detectors, magnetic contacts, detectors or sensors to thermostats and other specific peripherals. Each connected device can be configured and addressed in the system.
Alarm outputs
IO Multi Transmitter features 4 programmable relay outputs (NO/NC). A typical use may be automation (e.g. switching multiple lighting circuits, controlling electric locks, blinds or multi-level alarm indication using sirens and other signalling elements). Thanks to the range of settings in the ProSAFE app, the module can be integrated into security projects requiring immediate shut-off of the water or gas supply, both in the event of crisis situations and leaks, control of ventilation, air handling or outdoor lighting management.
Modernization of existing systems
The IO Multi Transmitter makes it possible to upgrade existing installations of third-party intruder alarm systems without having to replace functional equipment. Connect existing security peripherals to the SAFE platform and thus integrate the devices into a modern platform, giving you management via the free ProSAFE app, automation scenarios and detailed notifications directly on your smartphone – all without complications or complex programming.
Real-time notifications
Third-party devices connected via the IO Multi Transmitter provide both users and central monitoring station operators with the same functions as native SAFE products. From several types of available alarm events — for example: intrusion, panic alarm/SOS, fire, medical alarm, gas leak, water leak — you can preset the one that fully matches your needs, and the notifications will precisely describe both the location and the type of incident.
Compatibility with Third-Party Peripherals
The module supports all common connection types: NC, NO, 1EOL, 2EOL and 3EOL with resistances of 2.7 kΩ, 4.7 kΩ and 6.8 kΩ. Both pulse and bistable devices can be connected. Automatic EOL resistance measurement during installation saves time and increases configuration accuracy. Connected third-party devices are fully addressable. The event type, device name and assigned area are transmitted to the monitoring station — the operator always knows exactly what happened and where.
Automation Scenarios During an Alarm
Alarm messages and events received from integrated devices can trigger automation scenarios (locking doors, switching on lights, disconnecting potential ignition sources …), which enable security elements to be linked with smart devices (e.g. Power Relay, Dry Relay, Socket, etc.) to automate the given premises. Based on defined conditions, the system independently performs preconfigured actions, thereby increasing safety and comfort.
Flexible power supply and backup
Installation flexibility is underlined by the option of mains power (100–240 V AC), PoE (802.3at) or an external battery (12 V, 7 Ah – not included). In the event of a power failure, the connected battery keeps the system running, while the device automatically detects a low battery level. It also includes 2 auxiliary power outputs (14.5 V) capable of powering connected detectors, which significantly simplifies cabling at the installation site.
Anti-sabotage Protection
The module is equipped with an integrated tamper contact that reacts immediately to any attempt at unauthorised opening of the cover or forcible removal from the mounting surface. Security standards are further reinforced by encrypted communication and authentication of every connection. Thanks to advanced wired input diagnostics, the system also continuously monitors the integrity of the cabling, so it will promptly alert you to any short circuit or line break. You can be sure of complete protection at all levels.
Box for Professional Installation
The module is supplied in its own robust enclosure with IP30 protection. A dedicated space for a 12 V backup battery is a matter of course. A capacity of up to 7 Ah keeps the device running even during a long-term mains power failure. Thanks to the well-thought-out design, installation is very intuitive. The mounting box includes perforated cable entries, clips for fixing and tidy cable management. It also has mounting points allowing quick and firm attachment to a wall or directly into a switchboard.
