Door Guard Plus is a sophisticated security device that consists of two key components: a detector with an integrated, highly reliable reed relay that can handle up to an incredible 2 million opening cycles, and a powerful permanent magnet. The detector is simply installed on the moving part of the window or door, while the magnet is fixed to the fixed frame. The principle of operation is based on a magnetic field - as soon as the magnet moves away from the detector, the reed switch is activated. In addition to the reed switch, it also contains a three-axis accelerometer for detecting shocks and angle changes.
This advanced detector is equipped with an accelerometer that can detect changes in the vertical angle of inclination, shocks or vibrations. As a result, it not only reliably protects windows left open for ventilation, but can also detect vibrations or shocks that may indicate an attempted forced entry or tampering with the magnetic contact. Door Guard Plus, however, offers a much wider range of applications. In addition to monitoring the opening or closing status of doors and windows, it can also be used to monitor the movement or changes in position of other objects such as paintings, safes or other valuable items. If the sensor is activated, an alarm signal is immediately sent to the central unit of the ProSAFE alarm system, which then alerts the user to a possible danger.
The Door Guard Plus also features an NC input on the back for connecting an external wired detector. This input allows for easy integration of other security features, including devices from third party manufacturers. This could be, for example, a flammable or explosive gas detector, an armored contact for opening and closing the garage door, a flood detector, a wired magnetic contact, or other normally closed circuit sensors. This feature greatly increases the flexibility and modularity of the entire ProSAFE alarm system.
The Door Guard Plus universal magnetic contact reliably detects the opening or closing of windows and doors and immediately informs the user of the change of status via the ProSAFE mobile app on the phone. In addition, it easily becomes part of your smart security solution - for example, it automatically triggers an alarm scenario in the event of an intrusion and activates lighting or triggers another pre-set scenario to suit your needs. This ability to combine open detection with an immediate response to an emerging event thus represents a new level of protection for your assets and increases the effectiveness of your security measures.
