The Water Guard is a very small wireless water leak detector that informs you within seconds of flooding in the area of interest, making it ideal for use in homes, offices, utility rooms, basements and other places where there is a risk of flooding. A secure connection to the central control unit of the ProSAFE alarm system is ensured using the encrypted SAFEKeeper communication protocol, up to a distance of 1,200 metres in an open area. The detector is powered by a replaceable battery that allows continuous operation for up to 3 years.
In the event of an emergency, when water starts to leak uncontrollably, it is crucial to act quickly. Minimising water damage depends on early detection and immediate alerting to the situation. Water Guard is a compact flood detector that features easy and quick installation. Out of the box, the device is immediately ready for use. The detector can be placed in locations where there is a risk of water leakage, such as near a washing machine, dishwasher, toilet, bath, sink, boiler or near a water or sewer system. This allows you to protect your home from unexpected water damage efficiently and without unnecessary complications.
Designed as a 2-in-1 combination, the Transformers cover allows the Water Guard to be installed freely on the floor where there is a risk of water leakage, or securely mounted to the wall with a clever wall bracket to prevent it from being washed away in the event of rapid water flooding. In this case, only the sensor equipped with 3 contacts for water detection remains on the floor, while the detector itself remains at a safe installation height attached to the smart bracket. The IPX5 waterproof housing of the detector is highly resistant to moisture and gushing water from any direction.
The Water Guard is equipped with an integrated temperature sensor that not only provides an overview of the current temperature conditions at the installation site, but also the ability to alert when pre-set temperature limits are exceeded - whether the temperature is too high or too low. Once the temperature returns to the preset range, the user is informed that normal conditions have been restored. This handy feature ensures an efficient flow of information when required in relation to the ambient temperature control of the monitored space and can, for example, detect temperature anomalies during underfloor heating outages.
For immediate information about the extent and severity of a water leak or flooding alarm event, the ProSAFE application can be linked to other alarm system components with scenarios. A motion detector with photo camera allows you to automatically capture and send images, while a smart IP camera offers live video monitoring of the affected area. With visual photo or video verification of an alarm event, you can thus minimize the extent of damage in areas such as utility rooms, areas with pool filter vessels, storage tanks, water tanks, boilers, etc.
The flood detector is powered by a single CR123A replaceable battery, which, thanks to an efficient energy management mechanism, allows it to operate in continuous mode for an extremely long period of up to 3 years without the need to replace the battery. In the ProSAFE mobile app, you can monitor the current status of the information transmitted by the detector such as battery status, radio signal level, room temperature indication as well as information about generated events.
