SAFE 5YGAS - RF
New generation wireless flammable and explosive gas detector designed for hazard detection based on Methane (CH₄ ) such as natural gas, biogas, CNG, SNG, mine gas, etc. The task of the detector is to ensure timely warning of impending danger in case of leakage of flammable and explosive gases in the monitored space. The device is equipped with relay and pulse output, which allows its easy integration into third-party security and automation systems. This allows you to connect and control external devices such as automatic gas shut-off valves, alarm signaling elements or ventilation fans for space ventilation. The detector can operate as part of the FireSAFE fire security system with support of the FireSAFE Hub central control unit or completely autonomously. SAFE 5YGAS – RF is powered by safe 12V DC voltage via a 230V / 50Hz mains power supply, which is included in the package.
Description of the Device
Maximum Reliability For Your Maximum Security
The semiconductor integrated wireless detector sensor meets the highest European safety standards and is certified and calibrated according to EN 50194 standard (standard for electrical devices for detecting flammable gases) without any further need requiring regular service calibration. Second generation sensor performs continuous air testing for the presence of dangerous levels of gas concentration in the monitored space. The device is controlled by a modern microprocessor, which immediately sends a radio signal and activates both visual and acoustic alarm upon detection of a dangerous gas level. Thus SAFE 5YGAS – RF provides timely warning of gas leaks and contributes to maximum protection of your home.
Wireless Communication in the FireSAFE Network
The detector includes an integrated RF module which thanks to the CONNECTED function allows wireless connection of two or more FireSAFE detectors and thus create a mutually interconnected wireless network. If in such a case one of the devices triggers an alarm, it sends a radio signal and all other FireSAFE system units connected to the network will also respond to the alarm.
FireSAFE System With Central Control Unit
A FireSAFE Hub intelligent central control unit can be added to the wireless network. These units then enable convenient setup and control of the complex FireSAFE system remotely through internet connection using an intuitive free mobile application of the same name (for Android and iOS) designed for smartphones, tablets and more. The Hub continuously monitors the status of all connected FireSAFE detectors and devices. As soon as it detects any danger, it immediately informs the system user, not only through push notifications, but also by triggering a loud and clear alarm with visual signaling directly in the FireSAFE mobile application. Thanks to this, you are always informed in time and can respond quickly to any threat.
Two Control Outputs
SAFE 5YGAS has two control outputs (relay and pulse), which enable a wide range of installation options with an emphasis on maximum safety. The device outputs offer direct connection and control of external components, such as automatic valves for closing gas supply, alarm signaling elements, ventilation fans, electric locks, lighting, and other devices used in alarm or automation systems. In this way, SAFE 5YGAS – RF ensures not only reliable protection, but also greater flexibility for the possibility of a higher level of protection in case of gas leak detection.
Integration into Third-Party Systems
Thanks to the relay output COM/NO, the SAFE 5YGAS – RF supports the possibility of its integration into third-party security or automation systems. Simply connect the detector to the integration module (transmitter) of the given system and it will receive the alarm signal from the SAFE 5YGAS – RF detector via a wired input and forward alarm notifications to its central unit.
Uncompromising Guardian of Safety
Most flammable and explosive gases are odorless under normal circumstances. Therefore, in order to be easily recognizable by smell in case of a leak, most gases are colored (odorized) with special chemical substances.
Whether or not the gas is odorized, the SAFE 5YGAS – RF detector sensor is factory-configured for reliable gas detection to trigger an alarm before reaching a certain concentration threshold, which in case of further increase represents a potential risk of hazard and safely protects your health and property.
Fire Alarm Signaling Gas Leak
In the event that the detector detects an exceedance of the established gas threshold value, it automatically triggers a loud acoustic alarm signal with a strength of 85 dB, accompanied by flashing of a red LED indicator as a sign of fire alarm signaling for gas leakage. This is a targeted way of drawing the attention of persons present in the building through a high noise level and intensive LED signaling to indicate that a dangerous situation is occurring in some part of the building. The purpose of the fire alarm is then an immediate response to the alarm event or the relocation of persons from the site of the emergency to a safe zone.
With IZOVAX Protection also for Rooms with Increased Humidity
The electronic components and printed circuit board of the detector are covered with an insulating and protective layer of varnish with IZOVAX nanoparticles. Thanks to innovative second-generation semiconductor sensor technology, unlike conventional gas detectors, these devices can be installed in a wide range of challenging environments (bathrooms, drying rooms, saunas, technical rooms, kitchens, garages, boiler rooms, workshops, warehouses, laboratories, etc.), where humidity or vapors typically negatively affect detection functions or the device's lifespan itself.
